MOVING TO CONTRA COSTA COUNTY WITH PETS.

Please know that pets are required to be licensed in Contra Costa County.

As a courtesy to my clients locating here from another county or state I

will provide you with a pet friendly packet of information

as well as application form to submit to the Contra Costa Animal Services to procure the proper pet licensure.

http://www.Pawswithacause.org  is a wonderful organization that provides service dogs for people with various disabilities. Jackie Post, Northern Director lives in Orinda.  It costs approximately $18,000 to train one dog. This organization is always in need of foster homes for the pups to be trained. If you are interested in knowing more about this organization you can go to their website and/or call Jackie Post directly at 925 254 3031.

Jim Zim is the epitomy of what all breeders should follow as standards...Not a rescue but a Breeder who does support pet rescue and is a very responsbile breeder.

Another GREAT Organization!!  http://www.nativebirds.org
I recently came upon an injured and displaced baby Dove...It's nest was destroyed. I went to Wild Birds Unlimited in Pleasant Hill and was given Diana's name and numbers. I met her at the store later in the day with the injured bird. She looked it over and found one of the legs was injured but otherwise healthy and took it home . She had it in cage outside and 2 Adult Doves adopted it and fed it and then she let it go and it took off with the other Doves.
So , if you find an injured bird and you want to know what to do go to the web link above. They are a non profit group and donations are always appreciated.
